Abstract "Anybody is Nobody to Somebody" is a fusion of dance-experimental and documentary interviews of differently-abled people who are breaking barriers. The main character is one of the interviewee, who has achondroplasia- a form of dwarfism. Including also in the interviewees are differently-abled- a person who is Deaf, a person who has Down Syndrome, and a person who is amputee in a wheelchair. Using ‘The Social Model of Disability’ incorporating the spectacle of carnival, we follow Jemima’s journey as she faces taunting villagers in a forest awaiting a carnival performer. She confronts symbolic barriers whether to surrender or overcome them, leading to personal transformation.
