Abstract Pasig City has undergone several changes throughout its development. It was once
part of Rizal province and was declared a highly urbanized city in 1994. Unfortunately, with
the modernization of the city and lack of government support, the pottery industry struggled
to survive. The death of the pottery-making industry in 2019 poses risks to the art and
knowledge of pottery-making, losing its value and significance to modern day PasigueƱos.
