| Abstract | Manuel, a BA Film Undergraduate student, struggles in writing his thesis screenplay, due to losing his creativity for a long time now. His life has taken a weird turn too by now living alone and having to take care of others and himself, making him lose the concentration for his academic life. After thinking about all the chores, he must do due, since there no time to focus in one certain thing, it leads Manuel to have a heart attack and consequently pass out. Waking up in a room where he will have to face his reality by talking to himself. Tesis (Working Title) is a semi-autobiographical drama short film that attempts to depict the internal struggles of 26 years old guy who not done anything important in his life and learning to be mature enough to face his personality and actions. Created with the goal to expose the vulnerabilities of the director, as he criticizes what surrounds him, but most importantly, himself. The film hopes for the director to learn and love himself better and hopefully help others to do the same with themselves. |
