| Abstract | The thesis project focuses on the potential of a campus of the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) in an urban setting. It also dwells on the architectural implications of a peer based learning environment. The design offers a new setup for the current rural school of PHSA while still relating to it as a twin institution, joint in administration. Sustainable architectural systems had been used in the design to save energy while not becoming a burden to the initial budget. Basic facilities have been provided but a projection of possible innovations in the future is also suggested in the last portion. The thesis book provides as well a reference to the history and system of the current rural campus at Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna. Space needs has also been projected in the architectural programming portion. Criteria for site selection may also be used in as reference in the future, in accordance with the school’s plan of having 3 more satellite campuses |
