| Abstract | Satisfying the information needs of each user is the main goal of all archives. Users play a vital role for the archives; they are the ones who access the preserved documents. Satisfaction of users is not measured by the resources only, but also by the services and facilities of the institution. User studies aim to evaluate the adequacy of resources for the user, services, and facilities. The study conducted an archive user study of the University Archives and Records Depository (UARD). It intended to improve and develop the institution for the betterment of the servicing the users. The findings showed that the resources of the UARD are adequate to the information needs of their users. More often than not, users find the material that they are looking for when visiting the archive. The study also showed that the users were satisfied with the services of the UARD staff members. Despite users who had been unsatisfied with the facilities of the archive, the overall visit of the users was successful. |
