Resource Title A study on the library help-seeking behavior and preferences of the Philippines Diliman first-year undergraduate students
Date Issued December 2017
Abstract Students' reluctance to ask for help in the academic library has been a constant issue in the field of library science. This unwillingness to ask for help may not only lead others to overestimate the students' skills but also may affect the way they research and seek for information. This study was geared to explore the library help-seeking behavior and preferences of UP Diliman first-year undergraduate students and to also provide strategies in giving user-oriented reference services. Primarily, this study emphasized the importance of using one of the most important assets of the academic library which is the librarian.
