The study concluded that the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies provided effective measures in carrying out the curriculum. However, there are still room for improvements, as proposed by the respondents after the courses were assessed. The respondents were able to convey all of the needed knowledge and practices, based from their experiences, which are essential in the profession but is not yet covered by the curriculum, such as providing a course or an elective on financial management, basics on education, and others. It is recommended that additional courses be provided to enable the students for school librarianship to include information literacy among others. |
