Abstract | About two-hundred years ago, Philippines became one of top producers of coffee even surpassing Brazil, the current prime coffee exporter in the world. However in the present times, the value of production became very low that made coffee farmers to switch to other agricultural crops. The country now only contributes 0.012% to the worldwide production of coffee in spite of its high demand in both local and international market. The primary aim of the study is to boost and improve Philippine coffee production in terms of quality and quantity using an agro-tourism approach which will all be consolidated in a large complex, and will document and showcase each phase of coffee processing from the Research, Development Core, Pre-harvesting to Post Harvesting and Post Production. It also emphasizes other vital uses of coffee aside from a conventional beverage. The Philippines has been producing four (4) of the commercially-viable varieties of coffee and also one the prime supplier of exotic coffee coming known as civet coffee, locally known as Kapeng Alamid. This will constitute the entire Coffee Empire through an architecture that is truly “coffee” rooted to a Philippine mythology concept and innovations that is unique to coffee production. The site is located within Amadeo, Cavite, the Coffee Town of the Philippines. The study has come up with the following buildings: a. Bulwagang Lakambini This contains the Administration Hall; Research, Development & Extension (RDE Laboratories) and Testing Screen House. b. Pre-Harvest Stations This contains the Nursery & Vermi Composting Stations c. Post-Processing Complex This includes t |
