| Abstract | Vinzons Hall has been a campus icon since it was built in the 1950’s. It is known to be the only student oriented building in campus and symbolizes student activism. In its more than sixty years of existence, the building has barely kept up with the ever changing needs of the students. This thesis study aims to provide a student center that will supplement the academic values that the university endeavors for its students. The study will give emphasis on providing spaces for the use of students. The diversity of the populace in the Diliman Campus calls for a different approach in space design. As designers, it is up to us to provide spaces that are tailor made for the users, UP students. The students should then endorse this through their use of this space. The result is a student center complex that not only caters to the various needs but adapts with them through time as well. |
