| Abstract | The Philippines has stepped into the electronic and digital payments economy with the use of QR technology. Through QR payments, large businesses as well as micro, small and medium enterprises now have an additional payments acceptance option that will encourage more users to adapt and use online transactions. Obviously, QR payments offer convenience that does not only benefit the users but also different businesses and the economy. Furthermore, standardization and interoperability of QR codes creates a collaborative financial ecosystem that will further promote online and digital transactions in the country. This study identified the different factors that would support the QR payments technology implementation in the Philippines through scenario building. The different factors include new business models, education and literacy about QR payments and technology, building partnership and improving infrastructure. To be able to come up with insights, create different scenarios and provide recommendations, expert and non-expert opinions were gathered through interview and survey. From the five scenarios created, all are found plausible. The recent pandemic encourages the use of online and digital payments in the country, allowing more people to embrace electronic ways of doing things. QR payments technology is already available in the market and the main action needed is to continuously create new business models and educate not just the users but the merchants on the benefits and how QR technology works. Partnership from the government and different public and private entities must also be strengthened and also to continue the improvements on infrastructure in the country.
