| Abstract | The study explores the views and practices of marine officers' families in preparation for reintegration. I sought answers to the question: "Do marine officers' families prepare for reintegration?" If yes, how? If not, why not? A total of forty-five (45) respondents took part in structured interviews using purposive sampling of thirty-five (35) women whose husbands are marine officers for a minimum of five years and the (10) husbands on vacation in their home country in Sta. Rosa Laguna and in Mendez, Cavite. The researcher also made use of key informant interviews with four from the government five from NGOs supporting marine officers, and two case studies of marine officers'' wives. Secondary data were also used. |
