Abstract | As the field of project management continued to evolve, organizations had to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies. The Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCOE) within a Philippine-based company played a crucial role in evaluating and adapting current management practices and technologies to meet future demands. This study aimed to review existing project management practices and technologies and explore how emerging technologies would shape the industry for the next five years through scenario building. It also assessed these simulations to understand the possible impact of these events on the technology if they happened in the future. Employing technology foresight using the Ten Stages of Technology Foresight introduced by Professor Glen Imbang under the Strategic Management course of the Master of Technology Management Program at the University of the Philippines, the study considered various predictable and unpredictable variables. By assessing their importance and uncertainty, scenarios were created to project the future of project management in Philippine-based companies. Based on the analysis and exploration of the evolving landscape of project management, there is a critical need for organizations to invest in advanced technologies that enhance operational efficiency and mitigate cyber threats. As project management tools continue to evolve, integrating robust cybersecurity features becomes essential for effective project planning, execution, and monitoring. This shift is driven by the complexities of global projects and the increasing prevalence of remote work. The research revealed the necessity for project managers to embrace continuous learning and adaptability.
